Blog Tour-Review and Giveaway: Collateral Damage by Elisabeth Grace

About COLALTERAL DAMAGE

Now trending
Hollywood It Girl, Francesca Leon, has just landed the biggest role of her career…one that could clinch an Oscar nomination and open doors. If she’s going to move her career to the next level and work with top directors, she has to nail this part — and keep her sexy, but unreliable leading man from screwing everything up.

Team Calder
Bad boy Calder Fox is the son of Hollywood royalty and fresh out of rehab after his best friend’s death sent him on a downward spiral of drugs and alcohol. While his fans still love him and the paparazzi stalk him, he’s never taken life, or anything about his career, seriously. He may be charming and drop-dead gorgeous, but if he doesn’t stay sober, he could ruin Frankie’s future and expose her long-hidden family secret to the voracious media.

Behind the scenes
Things heat up during filming and have the potential to become hotter, deeper, and much more real. But can Frankie trust Calder with her secret? Or is he doomed to sabotage his own happiness yet again?

My Review

I'm never sure what I'm going to get when I start a book that has actors or other celebrity types as the main characters.  Usually it's your typical one famous star, one nobody falling for each other, then trying to reconcile their very different lives.  But here in Collateral Damage, we've got two stars-one with a wild boy past, the other with a family secret-and a story that will totally consume you.

Start with two excellent lead characters.  Francesca ("Frankie") is strong, independent, careful of her reputation and family privacy, and is very easy to like.  Calder, our bad boy with a checkered past who is now cleaned up and trying to stay that way...he's the hot star trying to make a comeback, and his dedication, perseverance and commitment will have your respect and also earn him a solid place on your book boyfriend list.  He shows true strength of character, even if he feels himself faltering at times.

Next, you'll get passionate writing and a solid story with true depth of plot that delves into some difficult situations, handling them with care while still presenting the reality of the damaging toll they can take on family, friends and our lead characters.

Throw in some interesting supporting characters (though most of the focus is aimed on Frankie and Calder) and a very healthy dose of drama and emotion, you won't want to put this book down until you've powered through it all-most likely in a single sitting like I did. Add some sizzling hot steamy scenes, and you've got a 5-star read that will have you adding every one of this author's books to your TBR if you haven't already.

Definitely recommended, 18+...and you'll love Calder-it's impossible not to.
